_. Lady Blewitt, who died 30 March, 2020, aged 81, was the wife of courtier Major Sir Shane Blewitt, GCVO.

Her husband served as Assistant Keeper of the Privy Purse and Treasurer to HM The Queen (1975–85), Deputy Keeper of the Privy Purse and Treasurer to HM The Queen (1985–87), Keeper of the Privy Purse and Treasurer to HM The Queen (1988–96), since when Extra Equerry to HM The Queen (1996–present).

The former [Monica] Juliet Calvert, was born 3 February, 1939, scion of a landed gentry family, the eldest of five daughters of Major Robert Henry Calvert, of Picts House, Horsham, Sussex, by his wife the former Monica Buxton, scion of the Buxton baronets.

Juliet Calvert was a kinswoman of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, who is of Calvert descent. [The duchess's great grandmother, Lady Ashcombe, wife of of the 2nd Baron Ashcombe was nee Maud Calvert.]

She married 1stly, 23 June, 1964, Major John Morrogh Bernard, the Irish Guards, who died as the result of a skiing accident in Austria, 11 March, 1968; married 2ndly, 16 June, 1969, the then Shane Gabriel Basil Blewitt [born 25 March, 1935], son of Colonel Basil Blewitt, of Willaston, Cheshire.

Lady Blewitt leaves a son Alexander and a daughter Katherine from her first marriage, and a son, Piers, and daughter, Davina from her second marriage.
