Sir Roger Albert Gartside Neville, Kt (1994); VRD (1965), who died 18
October, 2005, at the age of 73, was Group Chief Executive, Sun
Alliance Group, 1987-94 (Director 1979-96).
He was born 23 December, 1931, the son of Geoffrey Graham Gartside
Neville by his wife Veronica Lily.
Career:-->served in the Royal Navy 1950-52; joined Sun Alliance
Insurance 1962; General Manager, 1977; Deputy Chief General Manager,
1984; Chairman, Eyretel Ltd, 1995-2001; Director, Equitas Holdings Ltd,
1996-99; Chairman, Policyholders Protection Board, 1991-94; &c.
He married in 1957, Brenda Mary Parke Hamilton, by whom he had one son
and three daughters.
