I was very sad to discover that after long searches I eventually discover my
childhood friend, Peta Binding, has so recently died. I lost touch with her
after I left London in the 70's to live overseas.

She was only 64+, but I remember her father died of tuberculosis so I wonder
if there was any connection.

She had an older sister, Angela and a younger one, Sally (Binding). I have
tried in vain to find any reference either to them directly or to Peta's
children, Lady Louisa and Lord Robert Hope. They are completely absent from
any web searches except for Peerage.com, etc.

I would love to have news and after finding your message, I hope that you
may have news of any one of them or some idea where to contact them.

I live in Costa Rica. My name is Susannah Baring.

Thank you.

Dear Susanna

Peta was (and still is) one of my dearest friends. Indeed, I am godmother
to her daughter Louisa. We had a wonderful service for her last year -
Adrian and his two sons were there as was his sister, SJ, and Peta's two
sisters.

I am sending an email for Louisa and Bertie for Christmas and have copied
your note to them - it will give them comfort.

I live near St Tropez.

Have a good Christmas.

Kind regards

Julia Scott-Barrett

Dear Julia,

Amazingly, I have only just discovered this reply to my post. I hope you are still well and enjoying St. Tropez? (I lived in Mont Boron on the east side of Nice when in my teens and knew the area well. I imagine it has changed out of all recognition.)

I am currently in London for three weeks and wondered if you might be too?

Hello!.....My name is Tom Davies and i had the priviledge of spendong time with Peta and her family at Hopetoun taking photographs and interviewing them all. Asa freelance i placed the feature in a consumer friendly magazine. I came across ths thread by chance.... an was so distraught to hear of Peta's passing. What a wonderful wonderful lady who produced such lovely children. I always wondered what happened to her when she divorced Adrian. I would love to continue this thread if anyone in it would contact me on ***@tomdaviesinternational.com This is a personal request as I so cherish Peta's memory. Thankyou!
